Perhaps eating outside has improved the taste, but we loved the burger, curry sausage and the spaghetti bolognese .all washed off with a glass strander. the prices were appropriate for the pists restaurants and the staff was very friendly. we decided to have a meal in the evening and took the single person chairlift to get there. we assume that the car is covered with the car, but it turns out that the private sessellift costs €7,50 per person we found surprisingly. the restaurant was pretty crowded when we arrived and I guess as we had booked the day before, we got the worst table in the house. two rectangular tables were pushed together to form a place in a small roof floor where there really should be only one. our family sat around one table and another family sat around the other so that two of us sat next to the other family and sat two opposite. it was a very strange and unpleasant device. eating was very good, however, as the wine selection. I had a Wagyu-Rindsfilet that was excellent, and my wife had a wagyu burger that she enjoyed. the waiter was very pleasant and helpful. after dinner we found places around the kamin in the ground floor and enjoyed music played by a live band. despite the bad sitting at the meal we enjoyed the evening very much.
During skiing we thought many times there were eating. incredible views and eating okay. we rented sleds and went all the way down. it was great fun, but they really need to move their body to the left and right, heavy sled in the. wooden to turn while really fast. some of us were out of the road that was painful, but everyone felt that it was worth the experience. they can leave sled in the small house and go back to the city for 15 minutes.
@nd time here in 2 years, This years a group of 18 had dinner here on the chalet staffs night off. Great food, service was good to. Best part is the toboggen ride in the dark back down to the resort, (Don't bother doing this...if you are worried about Health and Safety. Steve, Jan 20
We had a dinner here with my family and friends. The venue is very traditional Austrian style Hutte. They offer transfer from Bellevue. In overall, a great place, but the food was superheavy and portions were supersize as well.
Every Thursday evening there is a big celebration here with local musicians. They slaughter a porc and bake it in a ground oven the traditional way. Us being vegetarians this was not a nice sight, but they served wonderful Käsespätzle , a special kind of...noodles cooked with mountain cheese, which was very nice. Afterwards our service tempted us to have a few drinks, washing down the meal and so we had a great night full of laughs and crazy dancing. Everyone loved it and had a ball!! You will have to register for this event in advance, cost is 24,90 € per person (vegetarian is cheaper) and you can either walk up there (some 30 40 minutes from Bad Gastein), or catch a shuttle bus outside the MONDI Hotel, who is the mother hotel of this Almhütte. Walking down hill they offer a really nice walk with torches. You should not miss this!!
