Country Kitchen Resturant - Bad Axe

Been here numerous times with my family of 8 food is great sized portions and consistent in taste/quality each time we have gone. Pricing is fair for the generous portion sizes you receive and our children are always full and happy when we leave.

We ate here on the way back from a port Austin weekend. After we got seated it took quite a while before a waitress came over to get our drink orders. For a while the waitresses stood around we could see them looking in our direction so maybe they were trying to figure out who's table we were. They did seem a little bit disorganized when it came to that. The waitress was very friendly and took our drink order and then when she brought the drinks she did not bring our napkins and silverware so my friend was unable to stir his coffee. It actually took quite a while until we were able to catch the waitress after that. I understand many of the waitresses and other restaurant employees are over worked and understaffed so I do get the situation. I guess I'm thinking if they were a little more organized they could have more efficient service. Just my opinion for what it's worth!! I got the egg white omelette with American fries and dry rye toast and it was actually very good other than one piece of the toast was burnt. My friend got the country special that came with eggs, choice of meat, biscuits and gravy. He said the bacon wasn't all that good but everything else was fine. The ladies room was clean but my friend said the men's restroom was terrible.

Food was just ok. Service was good. Clean and cute place though. Would not go out of my way to go here.

The breakfast special with eggs, meat and toast was both perfectly prepared to my liking, and inexpensive at $3.49. Even a 3 egg omelet with meat and cheese was $5 during their breakfast special hours (7-11am). All the employees were masked as far as I could see. This location has reopened multiple times in the past decade but the current format has both good food and very affordable prices.

We were up here for a construction project and stopped in for breakfast. The food was fantastic and for a great price! Kara was our waitress and made sure that our experience was a nice home town feel. I would definitely recommend you stop in and enjoy it for yourself!
