Tuna Agua Chile - Their version of tuna kinilaw. The small fillets of tuna floating on lime marinade has a taco like chip on top that is drizzled with balsamic vinegar. This should be consumed at once because the acidity of lime may affect the tuna. 2. Chicharon Bulaklak - Chicharon Bulaklak on top of tacos with pickled cucumber and pico de gallo white soy. Its delicious but should be eaten with caution. This food has high cholesterol. Sinful but you have no choice but to give in. 3. Shredded Pork Quesadilla - This quesadilla rocks. It has generous amount of shredded pork. Yum yum yum 4. Mango Panacota - This sweet dessert is a good way to end the tasty eating fest. I will go back and try their other tacos and burritos :) foodguideph.com
If you are looking for affordable and reasonable bar in BF Resort, try visiting Papi Chulo's. It's al fresco dining but it's well ventilated since they have large windows. They have good choices of drinks (liquors to be exact since it's a bar) paired with good "pulutan" like tacos and nachos. Full review at psst.ph
Definitely worth the hype! My friends and I decided to check this one out since it was featured in Spot.ph and because we need a different restaurant to try. We got their Truffled Corn (FORGOT THE NAME!!! but its in the appetizer part), Chicken Fajita and Carne Soft Taco. At first, the servings doesn't look a lot, but once you finish it, you'll be really full. The Truffled Corn was to die for, as in super duper worth it. The Chicken Fajita was a bit spicy, but man very fulfilling. The Taco was great, one of the best tacos for me. The place was great, the decors correlate the theme except for the bad music (LOL) and the staff was awesome, they were really accommodating and fast service. Great place, great food for an affordable price. Definitely going back.
Papi Chulo’s seems like a garage that was converted in to an al fresco setup restaurant. The place is not intimidating that you want to make it a “tambayan” with your barkada. Decorated with sombreros (which you can borrow for your selfie) and colorful bandanas. The wall is painted with Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) mural for that Mexican ambiance. ...Read full post on joyrneytolife.com
Ola Papis! Mi amigos y mi amigas! Papi Chulo's is a fairly new hang-out spot and watering hole in BF Homes along Aguirre but it somehow manages to compete with the bigger and known spots in the village. With its laidback feel and the distinctive music, you won't be able to resist the call to try and "tambay" at this bar under the trees. We were there a wee bit earlier than their usual drinking crowd but the music was welcoming. It feels like a bar right out of the Fast and the Furious movies! I was already imagining Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez roar in with an Impala! I like the Mariachi hats decorating the tree trunk in the middle as well as the colorful bandanas in the ceiling that lent a more festive vibe to the place. The haunting but lovely image of La Muerte graces the only wall as a mural, and provides a unique focal point and conversation starter for the patrons. This is definitely one of the most Instagrammed parts of the bar. Food was mostly TexMex. We get to try their soft-shell tacos 4 ways! There's Brisket Tacos (P130), Chicken Ass Tacos (P120), Chicharon Bulaklak Tacos (P125) and Al Pastor Tacos (P120). Although there was a great selection of different taco fillings, I think my mouth got a bit confused with the flavors of each taco. The most seasoned one for me was the Al Pastor Tacos. Their version of Nachos (P245) were a bit different too. This was the first time I tried nachos with everything in it, plus a soft boiled egg! A tray of Shredded Pork Quesadillas (P160) go well with their Lychee and Cucumber coolers as well. The Tuna Agua Chile (P210) needs a bit more TLC. It tasted a bit tough for ceviche and could have been more tastier. Most of their dishes are perfect as beermates but they also have rice dishes like the Chipotle Pork Belly (P245) served with dirty rice and a helping of crispy onion skins. This bowl was good for sharing! I love corn and their Elotes got me excited! For P180, you get 3 pieces of corn skewered on sticks, topped with a cheese sauce and even more parmesan cheese. You also have the choice to have the kernels sliced off the cob. Really appetizing! The owner was gracious enough to provide Cuervo shots for the group. I had to decline as it was still early in the day. BF and South milennials should look out for this place and try it, for the sake of chilling with their friends. The al-fresco set up encourages a relaxed chill vibe to it, perfect for when getting a beer on your own or when hanging out with your posse.
