The Burdekin Hotel Restaurant - Ayr

Good, solid, old–fashioned pub. Friendly staff, good prices for drinks and food and the meal was tasty.

Most old pubs have gutted the building and removed the old charm not the Burdekin, old pub with good food and a extensive drinks range beyond a normal pubs offering.

As we walked up the main street early this evening, a friendly local advised us to try the Burdekin for a feed mate . So glad we did! The pizza was crisp and delicious and the cider cold and fragrant. A friendly chat to the folk behind the bar and all was well in our world! Highly recommend a stop at this genuine country pub.

Fantastic place!!!.... loved the food and loved the people! The staff where super friendly and added to the great atmosphere of the Burdekin.

Food and staff excellent. The owner Zeb was very friendly and courteous and asking for feedback. They have just opened the restaurant side of things for the Hotel. We had a chicken burger and chips. Best chips so far in Australia. Would definitely go again as the lunch and breakfast menu looked great. Highly recommend
