New York Deli - Aylesbury Vale

This restaurant would not look out of place in a chic part of town and so it was a surprise that it is placed in a fairly average shopping mall. I had the vegetarian breakfast and it was of good quality and at a decent price. There were many other options for vegetarians/vegans. Slightly disconcerting was the 3 4 times asked what I had ordered by the waitress this added an element of suspense as to what would actually arrive at my table.

The attentive staff spin tales in the soothing air, creating a welcoming ambiance. One evening, I experienced true bliss with a matcha latte that tasted like a sunrise in a cup. Each sip was a delight, prompting a sense of calm. The coronation chicken served with a golden crust was a regal dish, rich in flavor and history. New York Deli is a charming spot in Aylesbury where you can enjoy a comforting meal in a tranquil setting, away from the town's busy streets.

I've ordered several takeaways from here, but managed to visit for a mid-afternoon snack. The food is amazing and we were made to feel welcome by the staff. The Reuben, pastrami melt and the milkshakes are fantastic.

I had the Breakfast Bagel, it was fine except the egg was like rubber, been under heat lamps i couldnt even get a fork or knife in it could have done with a little more bits inside portion a bit on the small side. On a plus note, the pot of tea was good!

I frequented this restaurant in 1999 and 2003/2004 and always devoured at least 2 hotdogs and got a bagel to go every time. I have not visited for a long long time and was overjoyed when I happened to be in Aylesbury and thought to pop into the Mall to see if they were still there. I was overjoyed to see not only where they still in business they had upped their game big time! I and my family had a hotdogs each with fries and milkshakes and we devoured every bit of it! Although it's a 2 hour drive from Derby we will be back again in the next several weeks! The staff were so friendly and welcoming I am made up after such a fantastic experience thankyou!!!
