Le Martin Pêcheur - Ay-sur-Moselle

The locations is beautiful and the food is really good. However, the service is too slow (we arrived at 12:30pm for lunch and got our main course 2 hours later only) and not very professional (we ordered wine pairing, but the second glass of wine arrived too late, and only when we summoned). Also, the wine we were served for pairing was not up to the food's quality.

This restaurant is exactly what we like, relaxed with a friendly ambience, quiet location, excellent service, wonderful food; and no 'bling ' factors. We arrived and had our aperitif walking through the very interesting garden; lots of little corners make this a fun start to the meal. Then we went into the restaurant for our meal, as this was our second visit we knew what the restaurant was like, nice calm colours with the other tables not too close. Our food was divine and all served with a smile, just perfect.

Excellent meal with friends on Friday night. Yes the menu seems to be imposed (I think it is possible to eat on the menu) but between 3 entries, 3 dishes and a dessert, everyone finds his account there. the setting is pleasant (dining on the terrace because the weather allowed) the staff is discreet but present. The dishes are good and in quantity! 60€ per person with a bottle of champagne or red wine (or white) makes a value for money/quantity more than interesting. We'll go back there for sure!

Surprise party for my birthday with my guests. The gourmet meal was excellent and the wines well chosen. The staff is in small care and the boss is very pleasant. Everyone will keep a very good memory. Don't hesitate to go!
