The taste of the bison Burger was delicious and juicy but was so small, it was like an appetizer. The fries weren't very good, The eggplant puree was disgusting with no seasoning. The service is great and so was the views and the ambiance.
Well, we waited a little too long to get seated. We had reservations these were confirmed by the restaurant several times so no surprise we were coming. We had a party of 7 we were crammed around a table for 5. Very cramped. Not ideal either for a buffet that you had to get up from the table several times. And it was HOT in the restaurant. Very uncomfortable. On the positive side was the quality freshness of the food. Truly wonderful options. Very, very nice Easter buffet.
We decided to try Stoke Rye for Easter Brunch this year given our usual and favorite place in Vail had raised their prices even further, making it unaffordable. The food and ambiance at Stoke Rye was really nice, and we were generally very happy with the choice. I noticed a few small areas for improvement however: service could have been more attentive and detail oriented. I had to get up a few times to seek out what we needed. One of the chairs at our table and the area below it was a mess of crumbs and lint from the prior group, and a couple of the buffet servers didn't seem happy to be there at all. Hopefully the service will be sharpened up and I think it will become one of our new favorites in the valley!
Dinner. We had good cocktails and fondue. The potato leek soup was good. Mushroom ravioli great for a small entree after soup. Salmon was good but small portion for the price.
Menu, food and service was as good as one can find in the Vail Valley. We will definitely be returning.
