One thing I will tell you. When I remember my visit to Avignon, except from the beautiful city which I adored a lot and all the touristic attractions, I also remember this Utopian boulangerie. That 's all.

I love Avignon, it’s such a beautiful town with so much to see. And with so many restaurants to eat in. But sometimes you want a light breakfast or a small snack and you don’t want to make a big deal of it or pay a fortune. Just some honest, decent food that you can enjoy and be one your way without having emptied your wallet. If this is what you are looking for, you’ve found it. Freshly made tarts, quiches and specialities to choose from, but beware; they seem popular and sell out. The place a has an informal atmosphere and bags of rustic character. I went there twice. Once for a light lunch/snack where we had a pizza slice and my partner had some somosa. Then again for breakfast the following morning which was croissant, bread, jam and good, strong coffee. All for a really reasonable price. Would I go again? If I was looking for a light snack or small breakfast in a casual and charming location and wasn’t looking to pay the earth for it-then yes definitely.

An excellent bakery that offers organic bread, brioche and also gluten-free breads. I love the sponsor for breakfast!
