They don't participate in Open Table and we were told that after arriving (having made an Open Table reservation??? . The food was good, service friendly. I'd recommend for a casual meal.

Don’t question it, eat at this restaurant! You won’t be disappointed.

We have dined at Polpo over the past five years during our annual vacation to Avalon. The entrees have been well-prepared and very filling. This year we had an extremely rude server who seemed very upset that we only ordered main entrees. After he took our order, he said under his breath, cheap , huffed and walked away. Three members of our dinner party clearly heard this comment. We typically refrain from ordering too much food and have learned that the size of the entrees at Polpo are more than satisfactory. In addition, our server did not offer to bring an ice bucket for our wines which has always been a consistent offering in the past. This experience was very disappointing and we will not be returning to Polpo to dine in the future.

Totally enjoyed the food and the service. Our server was pleasant, efficient, and made the meal a little more special.
