The Sandtrap - Avalon

Catalina Island is not known for its vegan options, but I was able to request an avocado toast and home style potatoes, which they were able to accommodate for me.

The hostess initially stated that there were no vegan options on the menu. After further discussion, it was determined that while all rice is cooked with chicken, the beans are prepared without meat. You can create a vegan meal here, but don't expect much assistance from the staff. Surprisingly, the guacamole was served without any chips.

$2 taco happy hour, and the chorizo is delicious. The guac is expensive but they load you up, definitely enough for 3 to share. My friends enjoyed the margaritas from the bar as well. This place is pretty awesome.

Happy hour food drinks were great! Best to bring cash! Sales tax 10% and an additional 3.49% for debit/credit card.

Excellent Mexican breakfast choices. I had the machaca.
