I can envision that the next endeavor would involve opening a remarkable restaurant with top-notch service to showcase that wine. Unfortunately, this is not the case at Max's. The restaurant is overpriced, the service is mediocre, and the lamb was burned. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience. Dining style: dine-in Type of meal: lunch Average cost per person: $140–160
I would have given this restaurant 2.5 stars, but rounding up to 3. My friend and I had lunch here and spent $75 for two course meals each. The portions were on the smaller side, so I would suggest they consider increasing them. Overall, we found the experience disappointing. The service and atmosphere were just okay, and the food was average. I would not recommend this place as the price was not worth it and it was overhyped. We had heard great things, but it did not live up to the hype. You could likely get a better meal at a local pub for less money.
The meal we were served was surprisingly different from what was advertised on the menu, it felt like we were given leftovers from a previous meal. When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was informed that there was a new chef in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience left much to be desired.
