The bagels were delicious - they were perfectly baked with a firm outside and soft inside, and they had a shiny finish. We tried a variety of flavors including plain, cinnamon, and everything.
Although the bagel at this restaurant is decent for Austin, the staff is quite unpleasant. This completely ruins the overall experience and is totally unnecessary. I left in a bad mood. Additionally, the staff remained rude throughout the week. It's not difficult to greet people, make eye contact, and not act completely disinterested when speaking to customers. This has happened nine times now and I've had enough. I will be going to Einstein's next time instead.
On another occasion, I stopped by Einstein Bagels right before closing and was ignored by multiple employees for 15 minutes. I tried to contact the owner but never heard back. The kitchen may be good, but the customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. It seems like they don't care about their customers. I've lost thousands of dollars because they can't train their employees in basic customer service. It's a shame, as the food could be good if the service improved.
Delicious newness york style bagels. I love the Lox sandwich. always fresh and delicious!
I'm a huge NYC bagel fan. Even when I lived in DC, the bagel places didn't live up to the standard. Until I moved to Austin and found this place few minutes away from my house. To be fair, I haven't explored many bagel places in Austin yet. Honestly though, this is my favorite bagel shop on the south side rn. Staffs are super nice. Bagels are always good and their sandwiches are awesome. One thing I love about them is that they don't go cheap with cream cheese on your bagel. Their Lox and pastrami sandwiches are my favorites. Recommend getting an egg with your pastrami sandwich. It's really good.
