Old Thousand - Austin

Sweet restaurant, I dig the King Panda portrait. I drank the pow! exactly in the kisser! (Tequila/mezcal) sippin' panda punsch (baijiu) and they were both very tasty. the soft bowl crab with the sauce and tasteful mais was my favorite, but the brisket roasted rice was also great. I also loved the xiao mian noodles! these nudels tasted so delicious. great atmosphere and mood, but not the biggest place. We had to wait a lil bit on a table on a Sunday night, but we could sit and drink while we waited.

5 stars all day! I'm here for the first time alone and I'm blown away! I ordered the hot and acidic suppe unlievable! next cauliflower pickles and garlic wok greens with a side of the house ponzu and hot senfvinaigrette unlievable! last- brisket fried rice a little dry, but I hunted it with her amazing sauces and guess what. unloved job well done! I am super excited, this place delivered exactly what I hoped! I was born in austin and grew up and really appreciate good kitchen. I'm hooked and can't wait to bring back friends and family!

My fiancée and I just had dinner here for the first time since we moved out two years ago. we wanted to go so long, but always forget, and today we decided to try. Eating was really good, very tasty and beautiful aromas. we had the general tso chicken, brisket fried rice and gyoza. everything was good and service was great. only on the bottom is that they do not drink so much or imported Chinese beer. a little disappointed, but all right.

Very delicious mix of cultures. I'm not much of a vegetable type, but I'm looking forward to the green beans here every time we come. they are only on another level. Several other dishes that are also great. it is one of those places that it feels like pretty whatever they order will be really good the atmosphere is great. I tend to prefer their order with the app approach, because it takes less to time the server interactions. it is nice that they add something that by a host who still touches basic with them from time to time. a good balance.

Really used to love this place. Prices are high but the experience and food was always worth it. Our latest visit wasn’t great.There’s no longer a real waiter so you order from an app. It’s fine but not as easy and makes ordering a drink more difficult.Used to like to have a good amount to drink here also but my wife and I both ordered cocktails and they just weren’t made right. An old fashion that tasted like straight whiskey. Not just strong but made incorrectly.The food was also a bit lower quality than I was expecting as well.Hopefully it’s just a one time flub!
