The most unique are fried green tomatoes with smoked shrimps — tasty, tasty, crisp, smokey and fresh somehow! So cool. I also loved my dinner, recommended by the incredible waitress — I had the Seared Rainbow Trout. The taste of the fish and the sleek glands complemented perfectly. Don't fill in the popcorn because the whole dinner is delicious!
The first at the downtown location, didnt disappointed. The roasted garlic is a messy affair, skip if you in your “nice” outfit. The green chilly soup was delicious. The pork chop was juicy and the side of grits complemented the plate and add to be enough to share one dinner plate between two of us. Parking was easy to find this foggy night, but the parking garage within the walking distance, when its more busy.
We've never been to a Moonshine Grill prior to this visit and it was simply amazing. The hostess took our name down since we hadn't had a reservation and after a very short wait we were seated with water and popcorn already waiting for us. We ordered a chicken fried steak and the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both dishes came out hot and ready to be eaten. All in all can we recommend this cute little restaurant and if we ever come across another Moonshine Grill we will gladly pay them a visit for an absolute enjoyable dining experience!
Our waiter Chris was amazing. Going into this facility and the atmosphere was amazing as well as aesthetics, Our waiter welcomed us with his positive energy also answering all our questions. I started with the honey-hot wings that had the little spices with some sweetness at the end, My baked Mac and cheese had so many flavor combination that really fun on many levels. My Salisbury Steak was delicately packed with taste and well equipped with potatoes. The peach Cobbler threw me a little bit off when I thought it was more of a cake, but still it was wonderful with Granola also thick slices of peach, Definitive money well spent in this restaurant.
This is a must go to place while you are visiting Austin. We called to see if reservations were acceptable and told that it is first come first serve only. Upon arrival, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait, but one of the bartenders/waiters were able to fit us in at a table in a smaller bar area downstairs. Atmosphere was nice. They cater for events that were going on in another portion of the restaurant. Food was excellent. Service was very good. My son and I had the Chicken Fried Steak and my husband had the pork chops. We all enjoyed the chips and cheese sauce as an appetizer and I went for dessert which was a decadent fudge brownie mixture. Would definitely recommend.
