La Madeleine - Austin

It was okay, nothing bad. My partner and I both loved the atmosphere and the decor, and the staff was not mean or something. The food was fine, even though we had a few Nitpicks. My crepe was very muddy, and the croissant was served cold, which is strange, as normally they seem to be heated at least by default in other places. My partner thought that his Croque Monsieur (Forgive me if I misspelled that) was just fine and expected it to be creamier. I loved the coffee and my hard boiled eggs were made very good. The laying and presentation was also beautiful. Apart from that, we were really not too impressed by food and are not too inclined to go back soon. We also did not know that we had to go right instead of waiting to sit, confusing us first, as there was no indication of what to do. Overall, my first impression is that it is a restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere and average food. It is not a bad place to go at all, but probably more improvements and small changes could be even better than it is currently.

Amazing food! I loved tomato soup and grilled cheese combination. Her bread was so delicious and soft. Avocado Toast tasted fresh. The icy almond loaf was not too bad. 10/10 would go back.

Very disappointed at this point. The dining room did not appear clean. My sandwich was not made as I lived in other places. My friends soup was cold. To be fair, it was close to the closing time.

By chance found the best dark chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was just a rich mix of cocoa and cranberry and just the right amount sweet! I was looking for this cake for a while and found it here. The Strawberry Nepolean was delicious.

I do like the food quality here. It's reasonably priced. I do wish that management cleans the outside tables a bit better, if they do at all.
