Very kind and very good tasting middle eastern food. We got the chicken shawarma and gyro platter. They were both awesome. Probably the best in Austin. I hope they stay here long! We will definitely be returning with more friends.
I ate at Kabobzi for the first time last night. The service was impeccable and the food was super delicious and fresh. The waiters were so attentive and even the owner talked to us. The platters are big enough for 2 to share. We also ordered appetizers and desserts. The baklava was out of this world. I will be going back!
The chicken was dry, as were the meat cigars. The salad was well proportioned and balanced; I would recommend the fattoush salad. However, my real complaint is that none of the food was hot. It's weird to me that chicken shawarma is lukewarm, and that the meat cigars seemed to have been cooked hours ago. I ate dine-in and it felt like I had a delivery order instead. I'm going to try them again on a time when they are very busy, because I think the flavor is there if the food is fresh.
Have you ever wanted to cry because everything tasted so good? Ever felt like you bit into a piece of Heaven? Well, prepare yourself to experience a full body Foodgasm. I wish I took a picture but I ate everything so quickly there’s no evidence. Hands down favorite place in Austin if not North America.
Kabobzi might just be our new favorite Mediterranean spot in Austin! We absolutely love the falafel. At most places, if you order a falafel wrap, they would just put a few falafel balls on there but kabobzi is very generous with them and the mash them up and mix it with fresh mint leaves. Their hummus is very large and tasty. Their meals over rice are a great deal too with delicious jasmine rice and a nice salad with good olives.
