Hyde Park Grill South - Austin

We always have a great time at Hyde Park Westgate. The food is typically good, and the staff are very attentive. Last night, Skylar was our server and took excellent care of us. They should really consider adding sweet tea to the menu; I think they can manage it. I also appreciate that they decorate for Christmas and put up a lovely light display outside.

I went for brunch and ordered the cordon bleu omelet with a side of bacon, and I must say it's one of the best meals I've ever had. I've been there three times, and it just keeps getting better with each visit!

The batter-fried avocado wedges are absolutely delicious! I was exhausted after driving for hours before I decided to stop in, and my server was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing me with all the options I needed. I hope he appreciated the tip. I will definitely be coming back here again and again!

We visited the first time because of their famous french fries. Tried the Ruben and the fried avocados both were great. This time we got the fried avocados and tried the horseshoe. We actually shared the entree both times, and they plated it on separate plates for us. Great food and service. This place is definitely on our list of favorites!!

Food was great. The tortilla chips are the best in Austin! Homemade and just right! The queso was goid, too. Cream of mushroom soup was delicious. And the server, Rick, was excellent!
