Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken

Listen. I normally do pics of full plates but after visiting this place twice in the same day, it was no need. This is the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life! Cooked to order. Sides were spot on. The place is constantly packed and for good reason. I definitely will be visiting again.

By far the best roasted pimple spear I've ever eaten! Love that there is a souvenir cup option. My friend got the fried Okra and let me try, it was also very good! Google's history on the restaurant is incredibly interesting and made me appreciate the meal even more know how it got famous. You will definitely not leave here hungry after dinner! The waiter was phenomenal despite a packed house and was great in reviewing us.

Went close to downtown and found this hidden gem. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a hot day and asked for a pitcher water and it was not disappointed by a pitcher and constant refill. We ordered the family 16pc with Mac n cheese, Pommes and Slav. Perfectly cooked chicken, juicy and tasteful. All sides were great and with an entertaining atmosphere this made a pleasant chicken fry evening. We will definitely come back!

That was my first time with Guss fried chicken. I ordered a 3 pieces white (2 chest and wing) meal with a root beer float. The food was served quite quickly and the server was attentive. I love how the skin was a little darker, a good sign of marining? And the moisture and temperature were sealed under the thin and crispy skin, even by my third piece. The Coleslaw was refreshing and the baked beans tasted with a hint of spice. There are many ways to eat roasted chickens, but you get those who know how to make chickens in a way, San Jacinto Blvd, Austin, Texas. (I wish we had Gus in Colorado).

One of my favorite fried chickens places ever. I got it in Memphis, Los Angeles and now in Austin. The quality is consistently constant. Prices are very reasonable. A plate of chicken comes with 2 pages. Their dark meat is amazing, but even their white meat is juicy and that is when you know that you are amazingly fried chicken. Ruin is a little spicy but increases chicken to a higher level. For the sides, the Mac and the cheese, the frits and the roasted Okra are all excellent.
