We didn't have a reservation, but arrived there early and sat at the bar that has the same menu. So glad we found it! The dishes and drinks were all excellent and unique, and the service, most of the bartenders was great and friendly. Two of us had the duck breast in muzzle, what was the best mole I had! Very recommended!
Such an amazing place to eat. I can?t recommend this place enough. The fish tacos were great and the mixed drinks have a unique flavor that is satisfying and refreshing at the same time. I typically don?t like mezcal but I ordered the sangria mezcal cocktail and was impressed. I tried the mole and it was the best I?ve had.
This place was exceptionally delicious. Her queen was great, the duck mol was good (although I wish the skin was crispy). The lamb was also fantastic. Their tortillas, which they give with the mole/quieso, are fantastic. atmosphere was great and the drinks were all delicious I really liked the respado. The only place I consider to be competitive is Fonda and this is imo a high praise, so don't read it as insult
Food/cocktails had perfectly balanced flavors. Portion sizes are very generous. Delicious!
The food here is different from everything you can get in Austin. The only reason I have to give this restaurant four stars is that it is impossible to hear each other. For me, the whole point of a meal is to enjoy great food and great business. El Naranjo certainly delivered about the great food, but the restaurant is so packed and echo that it was hard to have a conversation. This complaint from the way, the aromas were authentic and interesting, clearly created by people who enjoy food. We had empanadas with mushrooms and cheeses that were much more interesting and filled with taste than the fried cheese you get from many spots in Texas. We also came there Chamorro, a 24 hour slowly braided pig, whose bones literally fell out of the flesh as it was butter. The texture and aromas were a Mexican take on grill combined with fantastic preparation, which in my mind is the reason why you are going to eat. Our other dish was the Pescado el seré, a striped bass in a Mexican take on Curry. It was light, fluffy and tasteful in a way that made me feel both satisfied and uplifted. To finish our meal, we had the flan. While it wasn't the best I ever had, the Dulce de leche Sauce could have been one of my favorite bis date on top. Overall, I recommend trying this place if you? re someone who enjoys it. It is a rare restaurant where they experiment with taste while at the same time they are designed to pamper people, satisfying dishes. One week at night, the answer to the noise can also be here.
