The sweet potato bowl was good but could’ve benefitted from a little something more, like some kale or something. Overall would get it again though. My boyfriend enjoyed the veggie grilled cheese too. Coffee and green tea were a little disappointing for a tea house. I like my tea strong and it was a little weak. I prefer more of a sencha green but that’s just me. I’d come back for sure! Nice spot for a healthy weekend breakfast.
High quality food, friendly staff, large selection of teas of course, pasties, sandwiches etc etc.If you have a detailed drink order, pay extra attention as they’ve yet to get one right for me. Even when wrong are always good though. They don’t seem to have a good way to convey specifics to the people who prep the drinks. This fits the theme here as they’ve been out of mayonnaise packets for more than a week no systems.I highly recommend the cinnamon rolls best for 50 miles. It can be loud inside and during lunch.Parking: Parking up agains the building is scarce but there is plenty in the immediate area.
Good location. Clean. Friendly staff. Food was OK. We made the mistake of ordering coffee at the “Tea Exchange” ! Coffee was not great.
Love this place! Friendly staff and great service. They brought everything to the table and were soooo nice. Food was amazing! Fresh, tasty and the sunnies are to flip for! Coming back soon!!Vegetarian options: Great selection!Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome...outdoor patio is fab.
As someone who prefers sweeter drinks, it's often hard for me to find low carb options that work for my dietary restrictions, but the staff here were incredibly helpful and accommodating.I ordered an Americano with half half and sugar free vanilla, but the barista went above and beyond to create a relatively sweet yet low carb drink that was close to a cappuccino. While I'm not entirely sure if it was exactly what I ordered or some unique creation because they worked some magic to accommodate my dietary restrictions, it tasted absolutely delicious. I really appreciated their willingness to take the time to create a special drink just for me.One thing to note is that they don't offer any sugar free milk options or heavy cream (or maybe just didn't have any at the time? ?? . Even the almond milk had added sugar. However, the half half worked great for my order and I was impressed by the quality of the coffee (but I’m no coffee connoisseur . They also didn't have many sugar free flavor options. The atmosphere of the shop was delightful it was warm and welcoming, with plenty of seating and a cozy ambiance.Although I didn't have any food during my visit, the options sounded tasty and the staff was more than willing to make adjustments to accommodate any dietary restrictions. They definitely spent quite a bit of time with me at the counter, patiently answering my questions about the sugar and carb count of their drinks and food items!Overall, I highly recommend Austin Tea Xchange. With low carb menu and drink options and staff that are willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, this cafe truly stands out.Wheelchair accessibility: We had someone with us who needs additional assistance/accomodations, not necessarily in a wheelchair, but the ramp was accessible and spacing inside was easy to maneuver.Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating and want to work with you to meet your dietary needs, so just ask!
