Applebee's Grill - Austin

The service was easy, but the staff seemed relentless and overly focused on their own convenience. The steaks were bland, and the shrimp was overcooked and tough. The server insisted on taking our entire order at once for her convenience, claiming she didn’t want to go back and forth. Soon after, she disappeared to the back corner of the room to enjoy free shots with her friends. When I expressed my concerns to the manager, she shocked me by suggesting my wife's size made it look like she had eaten everything, even though none of it had been touched. If I could give negative stars, I would! To top it all off, it was my wife's birthday!

The food was unclean and overpriced. There were patrons at the bar who were excessively drunk and should have been cut off before reaching that state. The bathroom was in terrible condition. Overall, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5.

The manager really needs to invest some time in training. We waited 10 minutes before anyone even approached us after being seated. The host was wearing a hoodie and sweatpants, which didn't set a great tone. When we arrived, all the tables around us were dirty, and they remained that way throughout our visit. Instead of cleaning them, they kept seating new customers at those tables! I ended up with tea instead of lemonade, and my tiny tacos were served cold. Overall, it was far from a pleasant experience. If you're considering Applebee's, I'd recommend steering clear of this location!

We had a very nice experience and would certainly return. Food was excellent and cheap. The service was great, especially Katy gave a high five. Food: 5/5
