Cafe Blue - Austell

I was eager to try this restaurant after seeing the positive reviews and since it's nearby. Upon entering, I noticed the place was empty. A woman was at the counter, focused on texting on her phone. Although she saw me walk in, she didn't acknowledge my presence at all. I was the only customer in the restaurant. After looking over the menu, I decided to sit at a table and waited for a while. She never approached my table or recognized that I was there, so I ended up leaving. I'm really disappointed, especially since I like to support small businesses. I won't be returning.

We stopped by while our car was being repaired, and we had a wonderful experience. The service was incredibly friendly. We chose to sit outside, and the wine pour was excellent! We also ordered the shrimp and grits, and the sauce was absolutely fantastic!

The restaurant was clean, although I would recommend replacing the handwritten signs on the tables that instruct diners to leave their dishes behind. The ambiance is lovely, with great music playing at just the right volume. The food looked exactly like the pictures and was delicious. I visited shortly after opening at 11:00, and I absolutely loved it. I will definitely be returning!

Ok this is my 4th time eating here and I’m finally leaving my 5 star review. So I never leave a review based upon one experience at restaurants I always try to visit a few times to see if there is a consistency in food appearance, taste, and service. I like to be accurate with my reviews. Cafe Blue is 5 stars for me! It’s quite the hidden Gem as I don’t know if all of people know it’s here because I’ve lived in this area for a long time and don’t even know it was here. Anyways the food is sooooooo good! The pancakes are literally perfect! The fried catfish and grits are the bomb! The owner is very friendly and she also has a son who works there who is very pleasant and a great server! I enjoy every single time that I come! I have been here four times and can’t wait to bring my group of sisters and friends to eat here! I definitely am and will continue to be a returning customer!

Came here yesterday afternoon and was not disappointed! We were the only people in there for a while and closed it down, lol. The food was delicious, I was so full! We ordered the pancakes, eggs, Flounder and grits, and the owner even made a special for me, lol Salmon and grits… I thank you! Last but not least, we had the mimosas and we settled for the bottle with the different flavors. The music and ambiance was great! I definitely will be coming back, as the pancakes were my favorites and reminded me of my grandmother!
