Village Inn - Aurora

A couple of weeks ago, the restaurant wasn't too crowded. The server was very helpful and attentive. She let me sit at my table for over an hour while I took care of some personal tasks on my phone. The food was fantastic! I had an excellent sandwich, and I can't remember exactly what kind it was, but the vanilla ice cream served with the mixed berry cake was outstanding! I can't wait to go back in an hour! Yum!

I had a great dining experience, and my server, Amber, was fantastic! However, the hostess on the other hand, although sweet, was quite unprofessional and not very attentive. Since the hostess is the first person customers encounter when they enter the restaurant, this could discourage some people from wanting to stay.

The food was exceptional—definitely some of the best I've had. Our server managed to handle the entire restaurant on her own, and she did an impressive job while keeping a smile on her face. However, because she was the only server, the service was a bit slow, which wasn't her fault. I don't understand why management would put her in that position. Despite the wait, I really enjoyed my meal, and I plan to return in hopes that the service will improve next time.

While jason's customer service skills are fantastic, the cook has a lot of space for improvements. my crispy hash-browns showed themselves half boiled and cold, but he made himself on it by fritting mine over simple eggs almost hard. kudos an jason . not so much for the cook

One of the best locations but always shuts down too early. Close the dining area sure, but the kitchen could stay open for take out at least another hour or two. 8:30pm closing is too early for those of us that are trying to find a good meal on the way home from work.
