To start, half of our cold noodles were missing from the order—how difficult is it to serve cold noodles? The real issue came when my wife discovered two strands of hair in her tofu stew. We informed our server about this, suggesting that the chef might need to wear a hairnet. As if that weren't enough, one of the pieces of chicken in our dishes was raw. Under normal circumstances, we might have rated this a 3-star experience despite these issues, but the service left much to be desired. Our server seemed incompetent; after we reported the hair and raw chicken, he merely disappeared into the kitchen with no follow-up or resolution. While we could understand that new servers might need time to learn, there should be proper training in place to ensure they're equipped to handle such matters. This alone would have warranted at least a 2-star rating, but then things took a turn for the worse. After we paid and were about to leave, the chef came out—ironically without a hairnet—to discuss the hair we found. She dismissed our concerns, insisting that she couldn't possibly be responsible because she has long hair, as does my wife. It’s disappointing that she didn’t acknowledge the hair in the soup as a major quality issue. When we pointed out the raw chicken, she claimed it was just “Korean juicy chicken.” Unfortunately, we know that some foods can be safely consumed raw—such as beef—but certainly not chicken. We didn't want to engage in an argument, so we chose to leave. We were shocked by the chef's condescending attitude and utter lack of customer service. Overall, this experience was unsatisfactory and very rude, so we feel justified in giving this restaurant a 1-star rating.
I have visited this restaurant more times than I care to admit, usually ordering their kimchi stew and dumplings. It's the only place that prepares the soup with a sour flavor, while other places tend to make it sweet, which isn't to my liking.
The food was decent, but the service was awful. I asked about a dish I wasn’t familiar with, and the waiter didn’t provide any explanation. Instead, he told me I shouldn’t order it if I didn’t know what it was. I’m not sure what to make of that.
Don't waste your time here... If i could give it a negative star I would. Went for dinner tonight with the family ordered the Cold noodles, Kalbi, Bulgogi and spicy seafood platter. Noodles were ok not great... Kalbi and Bulgogi were terrible...Fatty short ribs and Bulgogi was pretty bland. The Seafood platter was watery and undercooked and the Gamjatag had an odd flavor to it. All of this paled in comparison to the service from our server. Just terrible... No smile... no nothing, just a sour look....never once came to check on the meal or even replace or check in on the hot table. I'm not one to complain very often but it truly was not a good experience. If you want good Korean food in the area go to the Owl or anywhere else. Friendly service and the food never disappoints. It's a shame as I've been there few times with friends after golf and never really had any issues. Will not be going back and will not be recommending it after today.
Stopped by here because I was craving meat, we got their sizzling hot plate bulgogi beef platter Spicy Pork Bibimbap. Overall the ambiance and service was spectacular they have cool chairs, beautiful mural wall art, lcd screens and a button to press if you need help. Their side dishes were good but the main dishes were average from what I've previously had. The pork Bibimbap was good I enjoyed the charred hot rice at the bottom and the bibimbap sauce! The bulgogi was a little lacklustre I wish it had more flavour and served on a hot plate it was watery and not sizzling. Maybe I'll be back to actually try their Korean BBQ!
