Very nice, well maintained restaurant in a squash and tennis center. The service was fast and attentive. We had reserved and were there with 7 people. I recommend the Spinat parrots, also the Saltimbocca alla Romana and the Pizza Calzone were impeccable. The portions were really neat and also completely sufficient for hunger.
After a sauna visit, a game of badminton or tennis, I can only recommend a football match on the big screen and good food from the Vinschgau in the Sportcenter Wünschig. The kitchen is open until 23:00 so you can get a good pizza until the end of an international football match.
Location. Val Venosta is an Italian restaurant in the Wünschig Sportzentrum in Augsburg Haunstetten. Parking is sufficient. To get to the restaurant, you must enter the sports centre and keep to the right. Ambience. The premises are modern and highly equipped. It's a little too dark. There is practically no daylight here, at least in the area where I sat. From the always very attentive owner I was kindly greeted and informed that today (on Thursday) is noodle day. I was quickly served and felt welcome as a guest. Menu. There are pizzas (in two different sizes), pasta, four South Tyrolean dishes, salads as well as some meat and fish and desserts. There are different days of action, such as pasta and pizza day (these dishes will be served together with salad from the buffet for a very reasonable price), pasta buffet and Sunday breakfast brunch. Eat and drink. As a pasta day I chose a pasta dish, namely penne with gorgonzola and spinach and salad from the buffet, which is included in the price of EUR 6.50. The cyclist costs EUR 2.50. Both are very cheap as I find. For salads there are bowls with different contents, namely two leaf salads, carrot strips, pepper cubes, onion slices, tomato carvings, olives, cucumber slices and artichokes (from the can). The whole thing is on his plate and it is poured over with a marinade. Three marinades are available in plastic bottles to choose from, which are all made completely safe. Everything was absolutely fresh and tasteful together with the mustard. It is a simple salad buffet with a manageable selection, but good, but nothing unusual. The noodles also tasted really good, pleasantly seasoned and the Gorgonzola did not dominate too much. Nevertheless, I still have what I want to do when there is a pepper mill. There was also a salt mill, but I didn't need it. The portion size was neat. Conclusion: The Vinschgau I can recommend that I was there for the third time because it really was nothing to throw out.
