Schlachthof Restaurant & Bar - Augsburg

Nice food and good service all dishes was good taste however the fajita was not original Mexican. I went with my wife, my 3.5 years old son and my nine years old.

Well we were told by our colleagues that we were going to the Slaughter house for supper and we were a little skeptical. We entered the building saw the name, some of the history, menu and were pleasently surprised. This restaurant is a little out...of the way in a more industrial area, but it is well worth it. We have German colleagues visit the US for great steak and good hamburgers, when they just need to visit Augsburg. Yes, I felt guilty as an American visiting Schwebia not eating a german meal and purusing all of the steakhouse options. In the end I enjoyed a mexican meal of Fajitas and smiled while enjoying a non-pork meal in Schwebia. I loved this place. The restaurant was nicely decorated, very busy on a Thursday evening and was truly a view and perspective on the Augsburg social scene. Would definately visit again.

The location is very nice, very pleasant to sit outside during the summer. The stuff is really friendly, ask regularly if you have everything. I ordered a burger but was disappointed by the meat. First of all I could only choose if I want to...have it cooked medium or well done. I prefer to have it less cook, more juicy. The meat was dry. Also the whole burger was not really original: pickle, not cooked oignon, champignons, and emental cheese. For this price I would expect something better. The French fries were good.

We had made reservations for ten. When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated at a table. We were given menus to browse. We sat patiently waiting for about 35 minutes without even getting to order a drink. We tried to wave down the...waiter/waiters to no avail. The menu items looked great but also very expensive. We were all neatly dressed and ready to order but before waiting another half hour for any service we felt we could take our business elsewhere. Which we did. I twas also not a language problem as everyone at the table spoke German.

Has been there, again. Enjoyed steaks and burgers and a good beer. Great service. Cocktails for 5. before 20:00.
