This place is undercover cool. It 's an unassuming old school steakhouse with no frills, no bs, and just plainly good food. We came here after having a super emotional day dealing with my mother in law dying, and the staff was nothing short of amazing. The place has lots of old dark wood, definitely homey style. Food was generous and delicious. We got a place of potato skins with cheese and bacon, a few glasses of wine for the women and just soda for the men. They were prompt with the food, which we really appreciated. Steaks were pretty damn good. This isn 't a Michelin star joint, but they know how to cook a steak and potato, and we all cleaned our plates. It 's one of those spots that 's as fancy as you want to be, but you could show up in jeans or flip flops and nobody would care. Great steak, great potato, we got dessert. Service was excellent. Bathroom was spotless. Parking is interesting. It would be an awesome spot for a wedding. Definitely will return.
What a disappointing experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere feels like it's stuck in the 1970s, rugs included—very off-putting. Unfortunately, the food was just as bad. We paid $26 for steak and shrimp, but the steak was tiny and quite tough, even though it was cooked perfectly medium rare. The mashed potatoes were clearly instant. Yes, you read that right! As for the shrimp, they were the skinniest, most pitiful-looking shrimp I've ever encountered. I can't believe any chef would actually serve that. I definitely won't be returning! On a positive note, the bartender was friendly and attentive, and she made a fantastic mandarin martini.
First and last time at dingus.... To be out of so much as in appetizer to cuts of steaks at 7 on a Saturday is pathetic. Then to be served a raw chicken breast is absolutely disgusting and a healthy hazard. Absolutely awful with correcting the service also, would not recommend to any family friends maybe an enemies I want to have food poisoning.
Not a great experience! Save your money. We're regular Yelpers and it's been a while since we’ve had a bad meal. We went to celebrate a birthday, but the restaurant was a total disappointment. The food was subpar, overly salty, and the vegetables were soggy. Our main courses were poorly prepared. We spent a lot, and it felt like a waste of both time and money. Definitely consider dining elsewhere. We’ll be celebrating the birthday again at a different restaurant this weekend. Overall, this place really should shut down, and they know it. They should do the right thing and take that step.
Rustic place to eat where the food is also rustic!! The vibe is very chill here. It's a great place to come for date night or to gather with friends. Seating indoors our on the patio. It's like going to your friend's home in the foothills where the grill is always hot and the beer is always cold. We enjoyed our fried zucchini and mushrooms appetizers. My Big Texas was deliciously although I would just order a regular ribeye next time. The steak was cooked well enough, the extra jazz isn't worth the money. Sides were cooked well and tasty. BF's New York steak was also cooked well and tasty. Our dinner companion ordered chicken piccata. I tasted it and liked it as well! This was our second time coming. Call ahead for reservations, wear what you want. The pricing and food makes this a place to come to for dinner in the area, whether you want burgers or or steak. You'll feel at home here!!
