The Stag - Attleborough

Came here recently with my friends to try the highly talked about 'Camemburger ', however we were all left very unsatisfied. The burgers were overcooked (burnt), swimming in grease and had the smallest amount of camembert in them, you could barely taste it. Two of us also had a prawn cocktail to start which was tasteless and watery. And don 't be fooled by the 'loaded ' Katsu fries, there was nothing 'loaded ' about them. Nor did they seem seasoned at all. The service was fine, we had a table after 8pm and appreciate everyone working wants to go home on time, but we felt rushed after finishing our mains to make a decision over whether we were having teas/coffees or desserts (we didn 't have either in case of further disappointment and didn 't want to waste anymore money). Was upset with the amount we paid for the food we were given and don 't recommend the dishes mentioned in this review. A real shame as I have had one or two decent meals here previously. The food was excellent at this restaurant. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the Roasted dishes.

The food was excellent, but the only downside is that there is only one bartender handling both restaurant and bar orders, leading to slow service and minimal conversation. This is likely due to the high popularity of the venue, which stays busy all evening. Adding a second bartender could help improve the service. Overall, the food was rated 5 out of 5, service 4 out of 5, and atmosphere 4 out of 5. Recommended dishes include the Roasted and English Breakfast.

The service was nice and quick, the food and drink was quick to order and the food itself was quick to come! Excellent food, I had the camemburger myself which was incredible as were the chips which came with it. All in all a great experience and definitely to attend again.
