The space was decorated with cultural pieces and ya girl loved all the plants. FYI the menu no longer includes meat, it’s mostly vegan with two fish options. When we visited it was not busy at all, service was quick. Hubby I enjoyed our intimate lunch. My favorite was the sambusa.
This place was very good! I’ll definitely be back. I had the sambusa appetizer, the vegan sampler plate and a traditional coffee which was delicious. Service was also great, and a very nice atmosphere.
I'm not a vegan, but I was with vegans, so when in rome. I got the vegan sampler. I liked somethings better than others. The cabage was my favorite. I tried the sambusa and it was delicious. It was a quaint place with a chill vibe. I liked the photos on the wall.
I really enjoy Ethiopian food and I 'm always looking for new spots around the city. I have a few other go-to spots and I 'm adding Feedel to that list because they have a few things on their menu that really sets them apart for other Ethiopian restaurants. First, the spread and variety of foods they prepared for the event I attended were amazing and really gave us a chance to try the dishes that set them apart from the rest. Second, everything on the menu was really good and while there were things that just were not my preference in general, the way they are prepared here I would absolutely try them again. As I 've said, everything was amazing and delicious but my absolute favorites and what I 'll be returning to have are: Feedel hummus, fu 'ul, tofu fettuccine, and sagla 's spris salmon. These are the dishes that really set them apart and dishes I have never seen at other Ethiopian restaurants. The hummus was a nice surprise since I associated it with Middle Eastern cuisine, but the hummus here made me completely forget that. The fu 'ul was another surprise for me, as I don 't eat fava beans often so I had no expectations but I was blown away by the fu 'ul, it might be by favorite of the favorite 's. People often try to do bean chili in place of a meat based chili and it rarely works out well, this is the opposite of that. The fu 'ul tastes exactly like chili, a very well done vegetarian chili. I 've never seen salmon on an Ethiopian menu, so again I wasn 't sure what to expect with the Sagla 's spirs salmon. Maybe other meat based Ethiopian dishes since the ingredients are the same. It was delicious. And finally the tofu fettuccine which we had at the end of the meal. Another dish I 've never had and was pleasantly surprised by. It was light, delicious, and a perfect end to an already amazing meal. I lean more on the pescatarian side, but the dishes are prepared so well here that you don 't even realize that most of the dishes were vegan or vegetarian. Over all amazing experience and I can 't wait to go back.
Delicious and heart warming. I love the food. It's beautiful and healthy hot food. As in streaming hot made fresh. The Brussels sprouts were amazing with the sauce. The Chef special is the bomb. OMG. I forgot to a take pic. I dived in the plate so fast .I ate half of it before I remembered to take a picture. Hot coffee with chocolate dessert. Perfect. This is my new favorite restaurant. Hand down. Try it. If you like spicy foods they have it. If you like it mild they can make your food just right for your palate. The chef special is perfect. Salmon vegetables over beautiful yellow basmati rice. Great cuisine. Great customer service. Great atmosphere. You will love it.
