Sweet Auburn Seafood - Atlanta

I sat down and waited for twenty minutes for a waitress. It was a special day for me, and I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant, so I was eager to try it. However, I felt that the hospitality could use some improvement.

My fiancée and I had a great time at the restaurant. The food was fantastic, and our server provided excellent service.

I was really looking forward to this visit, but unfortunately, it took almost an hour to get our drinks and an appetizer. The calamari should definitely be served with lemon since it’s seafood. I didn’t get a chance to try anything else because the service was so slow, and my event started at 7:30. I think the waitress should have communicated more about the longer cooking times. I keep telling myself that dining out is not always perfect, but this experience was certainly a waste of my time. It's evident that they are under new management.

Eating is great, the music is great, it's a bit loud, but it's a day party for brunch.

After being seated, we waited 30 minutes without service. I asked the manager if we could at least get some water. The manager was very apologetic, apparently there was a server miscommunication. the restaurant was less than half full, not particularly busy). The manager offered us a free appetizer. Bang bang shrimp was delicious. A little later when the server refilled our water, he refilled the glasses from a carafe of sprite. We did not have the heart to tell him about the mistake because he was trying very hard to make up for the earlier error. The restaurant is lovely, all the food was great and the wait staff is working hard to provide great service.
