I was a bit worried because the sauce was a bit watery but the flavor was amazing and they give you a baguette on the side for dripping. Always a go to. There is usually a wait so come early.
Just landed in town and it’s a quick drive from the airport. Found this place in maps on our way to our destination Service was fast, staff was friendly, and food was unique and delicious. I tried the Huevos (fried eggs, beans, and cheese on top of blue corn tortilla) and my husband had the brisket breakfast with poached eggs. We also ordered the biscuits and gravy (very good). We will definitely be back here again when we visit Atlanta in the future
Everything I've had here is amazing, but the caramelized banana buttermilk pancakes and the shrimp and grits are literally life changing. The wait for a table is more than worth it at the place. My friend doesn't even like pancakes, but he will make special trips just to have them here. There's a reason they're ranked the best in the country. It's like they've infused them with caramelized pecans making a new and delicious pancake flavor. If you get one dish anywhere in any restaurant, it should be these pancakes. Putting them down as my last meal now. The shrimp and grits are so satisfying I spent the hour after eating them in shock at how good they were. It's definitely a dish you cannot miss as well. The brisket is also super tender, although really it's the broth that's the real star in that dish. Dipping toasted baguettes in it is out of this world. Do not skip this place if you're in the Atlanta region!
Good food, nice vibe. Servers were helpful and we enjoyed the experience. Two notes though...the bathroom door lock was broken and instead of fixing it they just had a sign that said 'knockkk because its broken.. ' A little unnerving being in there haha. And also, they automatically add a 20% gratuity to your bill which, according to the note on the menu, is to 'ensure our staff receives a living wage. ' Now I don 't have a problem with tipping, but the way this is put makes it sound like they are intentionally underpaying their servers and then expecting you to make up the difference? That seems very wrong to me for them to just write it out like that, admitting it, even though that 's the unspoken way that tipping in the US works. If you won 't tip you shouldn 't be eating out anyway, but I don 't like them saying their servers are underpaid and then automatically taking it off like that.
Relatively good all around! The biscuits were super fluffy and hash browns were nice and crispy. Very nice staff! The only knock was the eggs on my friend’s plate were under cooked from what was ordered.
