Jamrock - Atlanta

I really miss JAMROCK on Moreland Avenue. It’s just a five-minute drive from my place! I want to give a shout-out to all the staff members; I've had the pleasure of getting to know each and every one of them. The food there is truly divine. The curry chicken is incredible, and the jerk chicken is the best I’ve ever had. Their jerk chicken patties, curry chicken patties, cabbage, collard greens, saltfish, and plantains are all amazing. Should I even go on?

The food was disappointing and lacked flavor. As a Bahamian, I know what authentic island cuisine should taste like, and this restaurant missed the mark. I tried the curry chicken dinner with collard greens, and I can confidently say that I won't be returning. However, I will say that the customer service was pleasant; the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food just didn't meet my expectations.

I stayed away for quite a while because of how uneasy it made me feel. Today, I was craving their food, so I decided to go back, but the situation was exactly the same. I ended up leaving without ordering. This is unsanitary and unacceptable, and I believe it's likely illegal in Atlanta. It’s disappointing because I genuinely want to support small local businesses and enjoy their food. However, I love my sister, who is fighting cancer, even more, and I can’t take risks with people who seem to disregard the ongoing pandemic preparing my food. Additionally, I find it extremely concerning that they offer takeout orders. Customers who order online have no idea about the risks they’re exposing themselves to by choosing this food.

This is far and away the best Jamaican food I?ve ever had outside Jamaica. The prices can?t be beat either. Jamrock will be in the weekly rotation.

Been driving past this place for a while. I decided to stop in and EVERYTHING looked good. I couldn?t decide what to get so I got two small plates. One is their curry chicken and one is their jerk chicken. I got home and devoured that curry chicken. Itwas so dang good!
