Ginya Izakaya - Atlanta

I keep coming back for one reason: the fresh and high-quality Japanese food. The dishes are truly authentic and made with care, something you rarely find done well elsewhere. The fish is always fresh, and I appreciate the variety they offer. Instead of just standard tuna, there are several types with varying levels of fat to suit every taste. The chefs and staff are fantastic; they always make me feel right at home!

We arrived around 9 PM after an event and were thrilled to learn they were open until 11 PM. The atmosphere is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the food is absolutely incredible. We love trying out new sushi and ramen spots, and we would definitely make the 30-mile drive back here. The prices are very reasonable too; we enjoyed two sushi rolls and a bowl of ramen for just $31 before tip. I highly, highly recommend this place!

I’ve always loved Japanese izakayas. I'm a huge fan of Shoya Izakaya, so I decided to give Ginya a try. The interior is quite similar to Shoya, and the food has some similar offerings as well.

What a fantastic spot for Japanese cuisine! The service was excellent and the food was perfectly prepared. Although the building is small, there’s ample seating available, though there’s no outdoor dining option. Inside, you’ll find a cozy bar where you can watch the chefs at work. The restaurant features booths, tables, and a traditional table where you can dine while sitting on the floor (shoes off required). It's always bustling, so be sure to plan ahead—it's definitely worth the wait! As for parking, the restaurant is situated in a strip mall area with shared parking.

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. The food is really delicious, the service also. It is authentic Japanese. I love it!Food: 5/5
