American Cut - Atlanta

We chose the wrong night to visit this restaurant. To our surprise, we learned that it will be closing next week, and unfortunately, our overall experience reflected this. We regret not choosing a different dining option. Our apologies to the staff who work there.

American Cut, located in Atlanta, seems to be wrapping up its operations before closing soon. It is unfortunate as it is a valuable addition to our selection of high-quality dining establishments. One challenge for a steakhouse in this area of Buckhead is the presence of two well-established classics, Chops and Bones, nearby. The name American Cut may be a bit long, but the 8oz filet is top-notch. The Brussels sprouts with pickled vegetables are inventive and tasty. The Caesar salad, although visually appealing when prepared tableside, falls short in flavor. The wine and cocktail selection is decent but lacks the variety of its competitors. The chocolate cheesecake is a standout dessert. Surprisingly, the restaurant also features a rooftop bar and private dining rooms upstairs, which are of a world-class standard, reminiscent of establishments in Berlin, London, or Amsterdam.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, service, and cuisine at American Cut. It was a fantastic experience and we can't wait to come back.
