This place is a 10/10 no joke. ABSOLUTELY worth a stop whether you're a local or just passing through. Reasons they're great?1. Creative coffee done with excellence; from their cold brew, espresso pulls, matcha done right, and interesting ever changing cocktail inspired drinks. A massive one up from a basic vanilla latte (although they nail that too).2. The people?! A pleasure. They'll remember you after a time or two and hold genuine conversation, even in the middle of a rush they make sure to acknowledge ya with a smile.3. SUPER knowledgable. If you're looking to learn how to n out on coffee, this is the place to go they're highly educated (without being pretentious) always happy to help4. They take care of their employees and pay they very fair wages which is few and far between in this industry.5. Good coffee done well and the breakfast sandwich is phenomenal!!! Had the single origin Colombian espresso and it was great.

TLDR: Pleasant Location, Pleasant Staff, Strong Mocktail Menu, YMMV wrt Espresso.Stopped by on Friday the 23rd around 3:00pm; I ordered a double-shot, and my companion ordered a plantain mocktail cortado. The espresso, a washed Columbian (flavor: tamarind, faint green apple? from Metric, was fine; pulled adeptly, served promptly and politely. While not the most interesting Columbian, it was competent and compelling.I tried my companions cortado; the texture was excellent. Anyone looking for a milk drink will be satisfied.The size of the experimental craft drink menu was clearly the main draw, and if I were eating that day would have made an excellent compliment. The space outside is pleasant, ample chairs for small groups and individuals looking to work. The seating inside appeared heavily limited, so Academy appears to be a shop best visited during pleasant days or for takeout.

This is more than a coffee shop. It's also a butcher and fresh produce. We stopped for an espresso which was tasty and an ok pull. They have breakfast sandwiches to go w the coffee. The butcher part of the store looked amazing. And there is a small fresh produce section with what appears to be unique local products. Our Espresso run ended with picking up pate, tomatoes and basil.

Quaint coffee shop with industrial-like interior. There’s street parking available and only outdoor seating. There’s also a butcher/small deli shop inside. Really wish they had indoor seating though.The Banko Gotiti Ethiopia blend had a very floral-heavy flavor profile. I did not taste the honey or brown sugar as suggested but apricot was present. Definitely had a dry aftertaste. Very enjoyable coffee if you’re a fan of floral.
