The Chop House Athens

This is a fantastic restaurant with great value for the food. Our waitress, Ashley, provided outstanding service.

A group of six of us went for lunch, and it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, five out of the six entrées were cold. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so it's unclear what caused the delay. We've dined here on two previous occasions without any issues, but this lunch experience was quite disappointing.

We thought the food was just awful. Our server was nice and she was attentive but food terrible.

My friend and I both ordered an entree salad. Mine had salmon added and hers had grilled chicken. They came out on two different plates mine was noticeably much bigger and had more food on it. Hers looked like a side salad. We mentioned this to the manager, who gave some excuse and didn't offer to make it right. We felt like the small salad really wasn't an entree, although it costed what an entree would cost.

This was my first time taking a date to this restaurant. My steak was not cooked to my liking, but the young waiter promptly took it back and had it corrected right away. The manager also came over to check on us and ensure we were satisfied. The ambiance was lovely and had a nice, cozy feel. My date mentioned it was the best customer service he had ever experienced, and I couldn’t agree more. Both the manager and the waiter were exceptional.
