Taqueria Del Sol - Athens

We ordered the brisket, Memphis pork, and fried chicken, and everything was delicious. The pork had an incredible deep smoky flavor, while the chicken was perfectly breaded and freshly fried. The concise menu is on point, and the fast-casual atmosphere made it ideal for a quick meal. This place is definitely a must-visit in Athens! You have to try it.

The bartender was quite aloof and unprofessional. The food was excellent, but the staff was unfriendly. The restaurant manager seemed overly intense and aggressive toward his employees.

I had a fantastic experience with the tacos and chips, which came with three different types of salsa! Each selection was packed with flavor, and the fillings complemented the main ingredients perfectly. The prices are unbeatable. I particularly enjoyed the nut-crusted shrimp and the jalapeño coleslaw, which was a refreshing change from the usual offerings. On a downside, I missed having hot sauces available. I recommend waiting until COVID is over to visit, as I felt guilty about the excessive use of paper, plastic, and foil. Additionally, it was 55 degrees outside today, and despite mentioning the cold, no heaters were turned on.

It had been a while since I have been there. It was my favorite place but Covid strikes again... meal portions are a lot smaller, I was a but disappointed. Still tasted good but I was full like I normally would have been.

Always good for a tasty meal at a modest price. Love the Memphis taco. Elvis would approve. Also, great guac and jalapeno slaw.
