I visited the city to see my friend, and we decided to have a date night at Seabear. I have dined there before with my parents, and my father really enjoys it.
Seabear hits all the right marks and deserves all five stars. The ambiance is cool and relaxed, with a cozy but spacious feel that is not too cramped.
The restaurant is usually quite busy on weekends, but the service and food are always outstanding and we never feel rushed. We've tried nearly everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. As someone who moved to Boston from elsewhere, I was thrilled to find scallion pancakes on the menu. The addition of a light and incredibly fresh rock crab salad takes it to the next level. Even my husband now craves it! The lobster rolls and scallop fried rice are fantastic. The oysters are consistently fresh and the selection changes regularly, while the oyster shooters have a nice spicy kick to them. The cocktails are unique, but they also make a delicious Manhattan. Though I usually dislike paying for parking, it's completely worth it for this restaurant.
I have visited this restaurant several times and have always been pleased with the food. Although the oysters were not as flavorful as I had hoped on one occasion, the rest of the food was still delicious. I also enjoy their cocktails.
