Lui Lui - Athens

My husband and I dined here with a friend last night, and it was our first visit to this restaurant—though I sincerely hope it won't be our last! The place definitely meets high standards, and the food was absolutely delicious! Just to note, our bill came to $121 for three people, but it included two appetizers, three glasses of wine, and three desserts, so we really indulged since it was our first time. My husband tried the special fried duck and loved it! I ordered the salmon, while our friend went for the shrimp tacos. The coffee we had with dessert was fantastic! I believe it was from a local brand called Ridge Runner. They make a point of sourcing many local ingredients, including Snowville Creamery products and sustainably farmed salmon, among others.

We stopped here on our way back to Columbus from North Carolina. Although it’s a bit off the Interstate, the detour is definitely worth it. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with beautiful decor, making it suitable for everything from a family meal to a romantic dinner. Our server was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Our food arrived quickly, fresh and hot. There were plenty of vegetarian options, and everything was incredibly tasty. The spring rolls, made in-house, were perfectly seasoned. The edamame was excellent as well. My tofu in spicy garlic sauce was delicious, with a nice crispy exterior—just perfect! The vegetable dish that my companion ordered was also reported to be quite delightful. Prices are reasonable and in line with expectations, offering great value for your money. We highly recommend Lui Lui’s!

Great quality great staff excellent cuisine exquisite have nothing bad to say about this place is 100% fantastic. And especially very clean food through these i my vegan foods, cows without adding hormones, free range chickens, etc well worth the prices.

I took my wife to Lui Lui last night, and we had a fantastic evening. The staff were all very friendly, and to top off our experience, we received a complimentary cake at the end. The lamb shank was absolutely delicious!

I've enjoyed eating at Lui Lui for almost 20 years! It has been a staple in Athens and was always the go-to place with my family and friends. I'm very sad to hear that you are closing, so I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the wonderful memories!!!
