Captain D's Seafood - Athens

The fries were stale, and my order was completely wrong. I also ordered a drink but never received it. The one piece of fish I got definitely wasn’t worth the $18.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing! It was spotless, and the manager was attentive, ensuring everything was running smoothly. I've never experienced such a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere in a store before. I've worked at and eaten at many Captain D's locations, but the young lady managing this one truly deserves a raise. Even with just a few cars ahead of me, it took at least 15-20 minutes to get my food at the drive-thru. The dining room was closed because they only had three staff members working. The woman at the register didn’t seem bothered by the wait, and to top it off, my order was still incorrect. Also, don’t fall for the signs advertising free $1.99 shrimp if they don’t suggest it. When I mentioned it, they didn’t offer me the shrimp, but when I asked for it for free as the signs indicated, I was still charged. It’s simply not worth my time to argue with someone who clearly doesn’t care!

The meal times still offer the delicious food we anticipated from Captain D's. However, my experience after COVID at two locations in Breathing was disappointing, deserving a zero-star rating.

I ordered a two-piece wels filets dish, but the portions were so small that all I could taste was the baked exterior, with hardly any fish inside. Instead of cutting the portions down and keeping the price the same, they should consider increasing the prices. It's not the customer's fault that the country is in such a state that restaurants are serving smaller portions at the same price. We will not be returning here again, despite having been loyal customers for nearly 20 years.
