We arrived at 00:50 and desperately needed a place to stay since the check-in for our real stay was a lot later. This Hostel took us in at this spontaneous time and was really friendly and comforting. English was not a problem. VERY VERY CHEAP! (simple breakfast and WiFi included) The rooms aren't the luxurious type, but you do get a place to stay and for one night like in our case it was sufficient. I wouldnt stay there multiple night unless I would plan a urban budget type of holiday. Thel location looks pretty bad and has a very Ghetto like feel to it during the night, but at day its alive and you really get a feel for true city life in Athens.
Not worth the money, it is cheap, but terrible. the bed is small and squeeky, only one electric outlet in the room, the bathroom has no window or ventilation, noise from the street all day and night. the location is great, and the staff is friendly and helpful..
Wonderful central location to walk around Athens. I stayed in a single for privacy etc. The room is appropriate for the price, simple small space, cramped bathroom. The hot water was hot, the bed was reasonable. If you're a larger person the shower might be uncomfortably small. The suggestion to eat at Thanasis, a kebab restaurant nearby was great (order the yogurt kebab).
If a hotel annouced free breakfast and gave you moldy bread and an empty nutella jar, would you accept it? Free wifi was promised, but the network was unusable for most of my stay. I depend on the hostel wifi to plan my trip, so this is unacceptable. It's 2017 for Pete's sake, so get your ducks in a row! In addition, the hostel is in an extremely noisy area. It's really hard to sleep due to the constant traffic right under your window. Those were the two major negative points for me. Given the price, I could let the smaller things slide, but I have no tolerance for unusable internet, and the constantly noise made it hard to sleep well. The (private) bathroom was far from stellar, but the water was hot. The room was fairly spacious, and I didn't hear anyone else in the hotel, only the constant traffic. The service was fantastic. If you know what you are getting into, the price makes this an appealing choice. However, I would have paid more for working internet and a quieter location.
