O'betty's Red Hot - Athens

The hotdogs are so good soyboy brand (they can buy them at the farm in athen when they are already in the city) big frits, big service. beautiful unique restaurant and decor.

Good vegan options for someone who is on the curse and wants something else. they have vegan hot dog sauce (Chili sauce), which is quite similar to the real thing. overall they were pretty good, but the prices are high for the overall quality.

O'Betty's has a very unique atmosphere that piqued my interest. I was unaware that Athens was home to a hot dog museum. It was neat. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable about their products, helpful in making menu suggestions, and effective efficient at preparing serving the food. I ordered 2 different dogs. They were both very good, but the Tempest is one that I'll be returning for again. The fry portion is huge. Be advised that if you think you need a large, you might want to rethink that. All-in-all, definitely a restaurant to check out. A very delightful experience.

I can’t say enough about O’Betty’s! Since moving to Athens County it has become our go to restaurant. As a vegetarian I am used to only having a couple options at any given restaurant and usually the same basic offerings. I love that here I am not limited by anything. Every dog they have on their menu, they have a vegetarian version of. The quality is great- especially all the produce- and service is awesome. Anytime we have out of town guests we bring them here. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but some favorites are the ‘shy’ Syra, Dixie and Sally. Also the cheese fries or cajun fries with a side of cheese sauce.
