Mariscos El Rincon - Athens

The place rocks! we've been looking for a place that serves authentic Mexican food since our last place is closed and we found it. the gorditas were brilliant, the fleees were the best I ever had in my life. we can't wait to go back and try the street tacos. chips were good and the salsa was great. the personal was wonderful and the place was beautiful and clean. Mostly this good of the food is quite at the walking places, but this place is much more beautiful and has a beautiful bar also. they can make a mop bucket size glass full modelo especiale for just $4.99 better it won't! give this place a try as they won't be disappointed. we'll go back soon.

So last night I go to mariscos el rincon to eat. I always eat here and drink margaritas. I sat down and ordered a margarita when it comes to the table, I take a drink and it is warm and terrible. So I'll call the waiter and tell him. he says karla to the owner. he comes back, says she says that I can either pay for it or get another one. at this time I didn't even want one after the first experience so I didn't thank him for taking a water. he goes back to the owner and tells her what I said. then he comes back and says she said you still have to pay for it. I asked to talk to her and when she was looking at me silver she told him she had no time and is busy. So I tell him I don't pay for a drink that was terrible and I didn't even drink. the owner karla then stands up, tells me, because I can't pay for the drink I will never be able to order another alcoholic drink there. I don't know where the customer service went, but I'll never eat there again. it surprises me that something is as easy as fixing a problem that has gone out of the window. when we sat there, they took many people, controlled the people on the register, refused to come to my table. experience ive worst had in a common time.

They serve a great breakfast and their dinner is also fantastic. my only disappointment was that in the last six months they had very uneven opening times and we never know whether we will be able to get breakfast.

Service was deplorable! The girl in front instead of welcoming us and giving us a table she was flirting with other guys plus they took a lot to give us our food and it was cold!!!

A bit hidden away, but worth a trip. Excellent service and very good food.
