La Rustica - Athenry

We are both vegetarian and we have demanded a tailor-made salad as a main dish. the häuptling came to us and detailed the desired ingredients, then made wonderful salad served with Pita slices. fast, efficient, excellent quality and inexpensive. the restaurant that is guided by a family and atmosphere is friendly and service is attentive.

I myself and my partner visit la rustica quite a bit and eating and service disappointed never. I am a great fan of pizza and steak it absolutely to die! we often get taken if we have one night in! highly recommended!

My family and I went to dinner after a long trip to athenry. we walked around the city and saw that la rustica had a lot of meal options, so it went. the menu has a good selection of pizzas, pasta and several other options. as usual, the children chose pizzas while we went for kebabs and cajun huhn. the whole food was served immediately and tasted delicious. when we were int, we thought it was a takeaway with only a few tables, but there is also a sitting area in the upper floor. there was only one other family when we arrived, but within a short while some other customers arrived and it was pretty busy! the kitchen area is visible from the area and it was clear that there were regular customers (always a good sign that had a good relationship to the chef and staff. we were met by a friendly waitress, sitting and served immediately. overall we enjoyed our meal in la rustica and would not hesitate to go back!

Food to die for, a lovely little restaurant catering for every event , ran by a lovely family ,back up by well trained and friendly staff, This restaurant is a little gem in the heart of our historic town of Athenry.

Just visited La Rustica for the first time and what a fantastic experience. Warm, cozy, ambient atmosphere, friendly and hospitable service and simply great food. The chicken wings were sublime and the pizzas were amazing...thin, crispy and full of flavour. Great family run restaurant well...worth a visit!
