The sausage, rice and beans, garlic bread, and hushpuppies were all fantastic as well. However, the lemon pepper boiled shrimp was a bit off; it was difficult to peel and the shrimp meat stuck to the shell. The staff was very kind and replaced that dish with another item of our choice at no extra charge. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food were all great!
I was really disappointed with the quality and texture of the food, as well as the service I received. The catfish was cold and rubbery, and the jumbo shrimp were both greasy and cold. I didn’t get the medium shrimp étouffée I ordered; instead, I received five greasy popcorn shrimp and 15 pieces of fried okra. There didn’t seem to be any managers available to address my concerns, just a staff of employees who seemed unsure of how to help. Overall, I spent too much money on a family meal that just didn’t meet quality expectations.
Absolutely terrible experience. The rice and beans were overly spicy, and the shrimp étouffée was mostly rice, with just a tiny scoop of sauce that was extremely salty. The gumbo was similarly disappointing, consisting of 80% rice and only a couple of small pieces of sausage along with three shrimp. Overall, I was very let down. I placed a pickup order, and if I hadn’t been so tired, I would have driven back to demand a refund of my $45.00. On a positive note, my kids enjoyed their chicken tenders and mac and cheese. I highly recommend trying The Rian Cajun Cafe instead!
The oysters were the absolute worst I've ever had. It was almost like the oysters shrank when I bit into them, and they were very tough when I tried to chew them. When I called the next morning, I asked for the manager and was placed on hold for more than 16 minutes. When I called back, she knew it was me and didn't even answer the phone appropriately, and just stated that she knew I had been on hold for a while. I asked for the district manager's phone number and was told that she couldn't give out that info and did NOT ask for my contact info so the district manager could call me. However, when I called the other stores, the did NOT offer to take my info either. I FINALLY located him at the Humble store, but it took him an unreasonable amount of time to refund my money. He was having to get into the Conroe store's info.
This use to be my fav place to come and get the best fried seafood in Humble. Tonight is the worse experience in my life. My oysters were over cooked until they no longer existed and service was horrible. I asked Do you have any lemon? and she point to a lemon juice container so basically there 's no fresh lemon here but they want to sell seafood. I 'm completely over this $hit. Something is different about this place and I hate it. I won 't be returning EVER. What a waste of time, I 'm literally disgusted.
