Golden Star Northern Cantonese American Food

Woops nearly left a bad review and realize it was meant for Golden Luck. Same street just further down by pig n pancake.

PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE! Bad food, too expensive, made my wife sick. I paid 39 dollars for sesame chicken and rice and it was just glorified chicken nuggets. The real issue was when my wife started vomiting an hour after we ate. She spent the night in the bathroom from food poisoning. Save your money!

Golden Star used to be the best place to have Chinese food in Clatsop County. I can no longer say that. New owners bought the place and the food quality has suffered. I ordered a dinner plate that included pork fried rice, broccoli beef, chicken subgum chow main and sesame chicken. I used to love the pork fried rice but that last couple times we have been here it hasn't been good. the vegetables dishes were ok but the chicken was dry. We were even told that it would cost a $1 a person for tea. I understand the higher food prices but the tea charge seemed too much. I'm not sure where to go for Chinese food now but I'm pretty sure it isn't here.

Some of the worst Chinese food ever....place was crowded when we arrived.... We ordered 2 plates of chow mein chicken/beef plus a ginger beef dish and a combo plate... The chow mein was basically a large dish of mung bean sprouts with minimal meat and a type of crispy fried noodle..... The ginger beef was tasty but mainly a plate full of onion .... The combo plate had fried rice which was dry rice with a few morsels of bbq pork no veggies and a miniscule scrid of egg.... Very very unappetizing.......
