Having visited numerous Thai restaurants along the East Coast, I was curious to see how this place in the Northwest would compare, and it did not let me down! While the seating inside is somewhat limited, we were able to get a table quickly. The service was excellent, and I highly recommend either dining in or placing a takeout order.
Absolutely amazing! Some of the best Thai food—and food overall—that we've ever tried. We ordered the red curry, peanut sauce, and pad Thai. Highly recommend!
Quaint Thai restaurant with high flavors! Came here with children and adults. All were satisfied. We had the eggplant special (favorite), fried rice, pad Thai and pad see ew (best we’ve had). Very tasty. Restaurant was well decorated with original art from Cuba! Must try when in the area. Highly recommended.
!!!WARNING!!! The chef has no idea what vegan means. And even though they tell you anything can be made vegan, I believe they think it 's just subbing meat for tofu and not worrying about other ingredients. We went there based on previous Happy Cow reviews saying most of their menu could be made vegan, the server confirmed. We specifically ordered Drunken Noodles with tofu and also asked to make sure both of our dishes to be made vegan. We received the drunken noodles first, took a bite and realized that there was egg bits throughout the whole dish. I brought it up to the server and the chef and the chef rudely said, you should have said no egg .I told him we asked for it to be made vegan, he said it doesn 't mean anything and I should still say no egg . At that point it made clear he has absolutely no idea what vegan means and also rude about it. We left before the second dish even came out.
Just discovered a new favorite Thai Restaurant. I’m celiac and called before going about the accommodations for gluten free. The answer I got was that everything they serve is gluten free because they only use gluten free soy sauce in the dishes that require soy sauce. We went for the first time and it won’t be the last. This is a small 4 table restaurant with an eating bar to accommodate a couple more people. Their evening hours open at 5pm. If you wish to eat early, be there when they open, unless your getting take out. We arrived at 5:30pm and sat at the bar, the tables were full. The next wave was at 6:10pm and the tables were filled again. I ordered the Pumpkin curry with shrimp, it was seasoned with red curry and more spices that made this dish sing and was cocked to perfection. My wife ordered Yellow curry with tofu, she exclaimed that it was the best yellow curry she’s ever had. That’s saying a lot because we eat Thai food on a regular basis. We are adding this place to our favorites for dining in Astoria, Oregon.
