Gennaro's Italian Kitchen

I had my daughter’s baby shower at Gennaro’s on Sunday before the restaurant opened for business. The service was exceptional—everyone was so nice and friendly checking up on tables through the entire time. The food was excellent-everyone raved about the food and were sending me messages on the food and how beautiful the shower turned out. You may not have a special event to plan, but definitely call and make a reservation for dinner!! We visit Gennaro’s regularly and it’s always great — and BYOB too.

Great for a midweek date. Food is very good. I enjoyed my appetizer (the burrata delicious and with eye appeal) more than dinner (Chicken Florentino good but could have used some imagination). The mussels appetizer was excellent and the veal parmesan is always to perfection. Service was friendly and familiar; our server knows how to read her guests. The atmosphere is plain, no frills, not the type of place you want for a romantic night out; but definitely worth popping in with family and friends, or for a treat midweek.

We were in on a Sunday evening in June for a 50th birthday party of 16 people. This was my first time here. It’s a smaller restaurant but they were able to accommodate the group. There were several appetizers ordered prior to meals but I did only get this one picture of the food. I can assure you everything was excellent. It’s BYOB but our server helped with opening wine bottles and bringing us glassware and ice to keep the wine chilled. Even with a large party and the rest of the tables being full, our meals were served in a timely manner and our server did not miss a beat. I think her name was Jenna and she personified hospitality. She even cut and served the birthday cake for us! We had a great experience and I would come back here again. Parking: Parking on-site, in front and around back.
