We came here for lunch on our cycling trip to Lienz and found everything very good service prompt and fast, clean facilities, good beer and good food we got a cream soup and a mushroom salad (finferli) among others. Desert was delicious too! Definitely a good stop at this centuries old family hotel and restaurant.

We stop by when we on the way to Italy in the evening. We tried to avoid the typical Austrian food and order some normal dish like grill chicken and fish. Surprisingly both dishes turn out very nice! We also order the tiramisu cake after the meal which is also very delicious and the portion is quite big if compare to others. Overall, delicious food and friendly staffs.

The food here is outstanding, and representative of local cuisine, at a good price point. This in has been here over 400+ years; they are doing something right to keep it going that long.
