Sushimee - Asquith

Over the past two years, I've noticed a significant decline in both the service and food quality at this restaurant. Having dined here several times over the years, I can honestly say that the standards have dropped dramatically. Simple requests for napkins, soy sauce, or cutlery seem to be too much for the staff, even after multiple reminders. Don't expect water to be served at your table or even a glass for each person. As for the food, the teriyaki salmon I had as a main course was far from impressive when compared to other Japanese restaurants in Hornsby. Despite my repeated mentions of the lack of service, nothing seems to improve. It appears that the owner isn’t concerned about customer feedback, which is disappointing. I would recommend staying away from this establishment. Perhaps if business continues to decline, someone will take over and run the restaurant at a much higher standard. After my last three visits in September 2022, I’ve resolved to stop wasting my time writing negative reviews, as I've come to the conclusion that this place doesn't deserve my patronage, especially considering a family meal typically costs around $120 to $150 per visit.

This is our favorite authentic Japanese restaurant! The sushi and bento boxes are fantastic. The prices are reasonable, typically around $25 for a bento box, and you definitely won't leave feeling hungry! The space is a bit small, but they do accept reservations. Highly recommend!

Fantastic! The food is fresh, it's bring your own (BYO), the customer service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy! Definitely well done!

The food was incredibly fresh. I ordered the "Sushi Lover" plate, and it was delicious. The waitstaff appeared quite young and a bit hesitant; we had to ask for items like glasses and water, but that didn't detract from a lovely evening.

The best place in Sydney for all types of Japanese cuisine! The sushi is not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The sashimi is perfectly sliced and comes with amazing wasabi. The katsu is generous and flavorful. I highly recommend the grilled salmon nigiri! The staff is fantastic as well. I never regret spending a dollar here!
